Kate Dannenberg makes jewelry as well as useful and decorative objects, grounded in a firm belief in the importance of thoughtful craftsmanship. Direct study of the natural world and formative experiences in wilderness influence the form and texture of her work. By using responsibly sourced materials and environmentally conscious products, she is bringing her respect for the natural world to every aspect of her practice.
While maintaining her personal artistic practice Kate helps run Night Shift Studio, a Metals and Jewelry Cooperative located in South Philly’s Bok Building. She recently completed a residency as an emerging artist at the Baltimore Jewelry Center and was selected to be featured as an emerging artist at the 44th Philadelphia Museum of Art Fine Craft Show.
