Rita Bernstein, Never Again

Regular price $2,800.00

Never Again, 2014, Unique Work of Art: Archival Inkjet Print with Mixed Media (Oil, Graphite, Charcoal) 8 x 8 inches (16 x 16 inches Framed).

Never Again, is from a series, entitled Notations, which addresses issues of language and communication and their visual counterparts. I begin with a photograph – perhaps a graffitied wall or the cracks on a building’s façade or even an erased blackboard – and respond with text and related marks. By making the words somewhat indecipherable, I am referencing miscommunication and the difficulties we face in our efforts to be understood by others.
